"Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself."

A journey that began in 1990
My educational career began at Santa Teresita School in the heart of Boyle Heights. It was under the direction of the Dominican Sisters of Mission San Jose. It was through their guidance that I learned that education is not just to instruct students in various subject matter, but it was far more important to connect with each student in order to bring out the best in them.
Technology
Technology is a diverse tool that I incorporate in the classroom. In order to help motivate my students to learn, students may use technology as an alternative method to present reports or do their homework. It is my observation that
technology has played a positive role in enhancing academic achievement. The students I have worked with, even the
reluctant learners, always display a keen interest when I apply technology to
my curriculum. By implementing
technology, I could accommodate the diverse learning styles of
students by using a variety of programs and Internet usage.

6th Grade takes a look at the greek gods
Sixth grade students enjoyed
learning about Greek mythology
and creating these "Most Wanted" posters. Students were allowed to select the god
or goddess of their choice. Then they presented their posters to the class dressed up as the god or goddess they selected.
